President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will address the nation on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 7:00 a.m. as part of activities marking Nigeria’s 66th Independence anniversary.
According to a statement issued on Wednesday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, television and radio stations, as well as other electronic media outlets, have been advised to join the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) for the broadcast.
The address will mark the President’s Independence Day message to Nigerians as the country commemorates 66 years of independence.
