2027: Osun AGF Sets Up Campaign Committee for APC Presidential, National Assembly Candidates

The Osun State chapter of the Asiwaju Grassroots Foundation (AGF) has established a committee to coordinate engagement with APC presidential and National Assembly candidates ahead of the forthcoming elections.
The decision was reached at a strategic meeting of the organisation held in Osogbo on Friday.
The newly established Osun AGF Campaign Committee for Presidential and National Assembly Elections; OCAPANA is expected to engage APC candidates across the state and organise programmes and public events aimed at presenting their manifestos, policy positions and proposed programmes to voters.
According to the organisation, the committee will also undertake public mobilisation and other activities designed to facilitate interaction between candidates and members of the public as they can’t wait for Accord party to deceive the party or take glory of the upcoming polls, Osun APC can’t be killed and must not be killed.
The initiative is expected to provide a platform through which voters can hear directly from candidates contesting for the presidency and seats in the National Assembly on the issues they intend to address if elected.
The committee is also expected to create opportunities for candidates to engage with different sections of the electorate through town-hall meetings, public discussions, stakeholder engagements and other programmes to be developed as part of its activities.
Such engagements are expected to place greater emphasis on the candidates’ policy proposals and manifestos, giving members of the public the opportunity to ask questions, understand proposed programmes and make their own assessments ahead of the elections.
The committee will be chaired by Comrade Adeboye Adebayo, while the Osun State Coordinator of AGF, Hon. Sikiru Tijani, will serve as Secretary.
All members of the AGF Osun State executive are members of the committee.
The committee is expected to begin engagements with the candidates and stakeholders as it develops its programme of activities ahead of the elections.
The organisation said its activities would focus on creating opportunities for voters to understand the candidates, their manifestos and the programmes they are putting forward for consideration.
