Osun State University (UNIOSUN) will graduate 4,357 students at its 16th convocation ceremonies, including 88 First-Class graduates and the university’s pioneer set of 90 medical doctors.
Vice-Chancellor, Professor Odunayo Adebooye, disclosed the figures on Saturday at a pre-convocation news conference in Osogbo.
The graduating class comprises 3,845 first-degree graduates, 400 master’s degree holders, 103 doctoral graduates and nine postgraduate diploma holders.
Of the first-degree graduates, 88 finished with First Class, 1,509 with Second Class Upper, 1,946 with Second Class Lower, 220 with Third Class and three with Pass.
The university will also graduate its first set of 90 MBBS doctors during the convocation. The medical graduates were inducted by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria on August 12 and are scheduled to receive their degrees on September 23.
As part of the convocation activities, UNIOSUN will host its First-Class graduates at a special “Meet the Vice-Chancellor” dinner on September 22, where they are expected to interact with industrialists and potential employers.
The university’s 16th convocation ceremonies are running from September 18 to 24, 2026.
