Hon. Sikiru Tijani, Osun State Coordinator of the Asiwaju Grassroots Foundation (AGF), is celebrating his birthday today, with his friend and political associate, Adeboye Adebayo, describing him as a committed grassroots politician, humanitarian and advocate of development in Osun State.
In a birthday message, Adebayo said Tijani’s years of political engagement through AGF had demonstrated his commitment to the political ideals and grassroots mobilisation associated with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Tijani was confirmed as the substantive Osun Coordinator of AGF in April 2018, after serving as the foundation’s acting coordinator for almost three years. At the time, he pledged to continue serving the organisation and encouraged eligible residents to participate actively in voter registration.
Adebayo described Tijani’s contribution to grassroots politics as one of the defining features of his public life, noting that his involvement has extended beyond political activities to include relationships with communities and individuals across the state.
He also highlighted what he described as Tijani’s strong humanitarian tendencies, saying his friend has consistently demonstrated concern for people who require support, encouragement and assistance.
According to Adebayo, Tijani’s public engagement has never been limited to party politics.
He said the AGF coordinator has remained committed to the development of Osun State and has continued to identify with initiatives and causes that promote the interests of the people.
Adebayo also acknowledged Tijani’s current responsibilities as Secretary to a Local Government, describing the position as another opportunity for him to bring his grassroots experience and understanding of community needs into public service.
“I celebrate not just a political associate, but a friend whose loyalty, humanity and commitment to service I have personally witnessed,” Adebayo said.
He described Tijani as a dependable friend with whom he has shared political experiences, challenges and aspirations over the years.
Adebayo wished the AGF coordinator greater wisdom, strength and fulfilment as he marks another year, expressing hope that he would continue to contribute to the development of Osun State and the political growth of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He congratulated Tijani on his birthday and prayed for many more years of meaningful service and impact.
